Went on a little drive last Monday to pick up some non car related stuff won on ebay. Collection address was a unit on a small industrial estate in the middle of nowhere, about 45 miles away. Stuff I'd bought was outside, so loaded up, handed over the cash, and about ready to go.
Went to say thanks and goodbye but the seller had gone into the unit, so I stuck my head inside the door, and spotted this, sitting on a ramp:
As you can see, the shell has a few mods, especially the transmission tunnel:
Sitting in the engine bay, or more exactly where the front of the gearbox should be, was this - not much bigger than the 12 HP Briggs and Stratton engine in my lawnmower. (Sorry about the out of focus pic!) Apparently it's a Mazda rotary lump, and combined with the bits sitting on the bench in my last pic, produces (I think they said) about 600 BHP!!!
Some way to go before it's finished, but it's going to be one hell of a machine when it is.
I've told the owners all about the zone, so hopefully they'll start a thread on here, and keep us up to date on progress

a rotary engined e30, nice,
looks like it coud be one hell of an e30,
any idea ho many rotors it's running?
the only other "complete" rotary engined e30 i've seen was in new zealand, it was using a 13B triple rotor twin turbo, can't remember the power output but it was well over 500bhp.
let hope he follows up your lead & signs up here, would be a really good read & make a change from M5X swap threads.

Hi guys, useful to see Brian he gave us good tips, has not exactly sure how the back end is going to be done yet.
It's a 2 rotor engine behind the front suspension turrets ans will be around 600hp.
Please look on our insta for more pics it's dragonperformnace
Or perhaps anyone more tech than me can copy the pics and put them on this thread.
Good do see such a in depth forum exists, will have lots of questions as the build goes on.

How much is the standard one in the way? That can be replaced by the much smaller diameter servo from a plastic winged Clio without loss of performance, and the mounting point can be moved outwards towards the inner wing by using a longer (E34) transverse pull rod.DRAGONPERFORMANCE wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 9:47 pmNeed to lose the servo, can you guys recommend this product
