Hey zone,
Noticed recently my alternator shakes a fair amount when engine running. Seems as if the belt is pulling it in an awkward angle, however the belt doesn’t seemly overly tight.
Anyone seen this before?
Cheers

Some models have the alternator mounted with rubber bushes. These can deteriorate, leaving the alternator pulley not parallel to the belt, and also able to move about a bit.

I’ll double check it, thanks!Cloggy Saint wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 8:35 pmWhat condition is the alternator belt tensioner in? They can lose some 'teeth' which would throw things out.
