Water bleed screw. No water?

Hi, I changed the water bleed screw on my 325i today. Thought I had better bleed the system after. Waited for the car to heat up until return pipe was hot, rev’d engine to 3k. No water came from the bleed screw. Let alone any air bubbles! Should I be concerned? Drove home without any issues. I loosened the screw until it was rattling, didn’t want to unscrew it any further.

There's a very small hole that the end of the bleed screw goes into, and this often gets blocked with crud.
With the engine off and cold, remove the screw completely and clear the hole with a bit of fine wire. Old type 15A fuse wire is about the right size, or a single bristle from a wire brush.
Coat the threads of the screw with copper grease before you refit it.
