Hey zone,
As some of you may have noticed I've been having problems with bleeding my M10 cooling system/heater problems. I want to completely rule out an airlock so I figured I'd buy one of those Ebay vacuum bleeders. They look extremely simple, and then at least I'll know airlock is not an issue (could be heater valve, matrix etc).

What does everyone think of them, anyone used one? My only concern is could it damage the Thermostat? Applying a vacuum to the system.
Appreciate any thoughts,
Jo

I would follow Brians advice on bleeding , which can be a pig on a 6 pot and if no heat coming from the heater after 2 mins can crack the back of head around no 6 pot. /www.e30zone.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2 ... m#p2058239

Yes the link I believe only really helps with the M20 engines that have bleed screws. The M10 system has none, and is completely reliant on you being able to massage out the airlocks. Seems a bit to risky for me...
Will try the vacuum kit!

Also I’m not getting any over heating so I think it’s safe to say not much risk of head cracking. I hope so anyway!
