The alloys on my Mercedes 190E need refurbing. They wouldnt suit being powder coated - they need rubbed down, machine polished, then Laquered. Anyone had this done, or know where i could get it done? Most wheel refurbers dont seem to do this :-( Im in Scotland but it does not matter where the place is in the uk as i can get the wheels couriered. Anyone any experience of this?

Not sure exactly what you're after but I've just had a set of Azev A's refurbed at this place http://www.alloywheelrepairs.net and cannot recommend them highly enough.

The azevs were in decent nick but had big pothole dents in 2 of them. Phoned this place (its in Carnwath in Lanark), showed them the photos and 2 weeks later (Ԛ£200 lighter!) I got them back as good as new.

Will try and get pics of them up on the gallery soon but check out the site or drop them an email for a quote.

Na they're not mine but when I saw the website I thought if they can fix that (the mullered azev) they can fix anything!

I got the azevs from Fozzymonster, the pothole dents were quite bad, sent them to pristine wheels down south somewhere and they said they were "fit for the skip" and that they were "the most damaged they had ever seen" !!! - moral is always get a second opinion!

Bit of a mission sending them all over the country but they're split new looking now and the guy Derek who does the wheels was really decent.

Put them on my car at the weekend, massive difference from the old shitty 16" TSW I had on before - the guys in the garage were positively salivating....got timing belt, tensioner pulley & water pump replaced and a few other bits and sold the aforementioned TSW's to some grease monkey so I'm all set for the summer.... pics incoming....

I can recommend this place: http://www.lepsons.com/

Obviously quite a way from you but as you say you don't mind couriering them it shouldn't be a problem.

They do a refurb and that can include a polish for Ԛ£45/wheel.
