i have a m52b20 doing a E30 swap, do i have to worry about disabling ews ,if so how do i go about it

You don't have to worry about disabling it if you have the matching EWS module and key chip for your ECU. Chip from the key can be fitted inside the torch type E30 keys, antenna ring can be fitted to an E30 ignition switch, and the whole set up is easy to connect to the engine ECU.
This will give you the advantage of an effective anti theft system for your car. Standard E30 alarm/immobilisers will only hold up someone who knows what they're doing for a few seconds.
