Wondering if anyone has found a child's car seat suitable to fit in the rear of a two door E30 with leather seats, any recommendations I would be grateful for.

I was and still am going to retrofit an iso fix piece of kit from a fiesta bought for less than £15 from amazon . This comes with the two 10mm bolts (you will need the nylocks) and all you have to do is position the rail and drill two holes through the rear bulkhead and secure the rail, it`s that easy to do.
This is very secure indeed, I do not think this piece would be around if it was not safe to use.
I have been a toolmaker all my life and I would use it for all my grand children, but you have to decide for yourself.

How old is the child?
I have four children, youngest 8 weeks old a eldest 22.
I've never bought an isofix, as non of my car's have been new. However my wife has one for our youngest and although it's an isofix, it also has the function for seat belt thread.
My 3 year old, has a booster with the rear support and both fit fine in my 2 door.

Plenty of good ones that fit with a belt. |Can't see why any would not fit an E30
Only thing I would say is if you value your seats, get a seat protector under whatever you end up with.

The kids go from 3 up to 10 but I will still be fitting it as it is soooooooo easy to use the system. I wish it had been around when my 3 were younger.

Thanks for all your replies, the iso fix solution looks good Mart, the local Halfords who have a good variety of seats to suit a three year old viewed my two door 1988 E30 with horror and muttered things like seat belt stalks are flexible so the seat will move so we cannot help you.
