I am sending this as I have a seller who I agreed to buy an exhaust the seller then gives me his typed paypal address. I send the money only for the paypal address to be typed wrong by the seller.

I have lost £123 as the person I sent the money to won't refund me and the seller deems it appropriate to try give me negative on here when I have bought, houndstooth interior, OBC, boot trim and other parts on here with no issues.

money sent as to address seller gave me:

Paypal address to wrong person as seller missed typing 'C' between first and last name:

If you gonna try slander my name at least recognise that YOU made the error and common sense means you can read and see screenshots to recognise that I am trying to get my money back that I lost as result or you.

Thanks... Please check he sends you the correct paypal if buying from this clown!

I would never buy as family and friends as that is giving money away... Would rather pay the fees. But PayPal say it is not unauthorised/fraud.. While they dont agree dispute/resolution case at the moment as there is no item I am unhappy with or returning due to the person I sent the money to not having an agreement to send goods.. have provided screenshots to them and have asked them to escalate this.. Wait for their decision.. upto 30 days I been told. Waiting game..

Hello guys, I have been admin along with others for around 17 years. Rather than cussing and blinding, let us try and resolve this amicably. Colin do you have monies from jbrunouk ?

HartgeH27 .. Thanks for your input here. I only replied and posted as was being slandered for HIS error. Rather than calling someone a timewaster for losing £123 which i am fighting Paypal to get back .. he should be man enough to recognise and least apologise and give me opportunity to chase PayPal.. as much as possible!! Obviously HE typed PayPal address (as per screenshot of his email to me). I sent money to where he said!! Ended up going to a different Colin Meldrum.. as he forgot to type C in between his names when he gave me address first. I have all evidence to prove but like a petulant child he posted silly slander.. after not giving a toss in email response and telling me not to contact him again and threatening slanderous feedback.. again AFTER him sending me HIS mistyped PayPal. (Which caused all the problems here!)

I have been on e30 zone while owning 3 e30s and never have not paid or had negative feedback in my life... have been here since 2006 or thereabouts.. If I messed up fine. But if roles reversed and HE was out of pocket and lost money due to me. I would have used common sense before posting without checking facts!

... IF I WAS selling an item to a fellow zoner and gave incorrect PayPal. I would not message silly feedback like were in primary school. But rather I would apologise. Ask if the error can be rectified. Be bothered about a fellow zoner losing their money. Ask what timescale it may take PayPal to sort or resolve? Ask if they want the exhaust still? If they cannot afford until they get money back then decide to either hold it for set amount of time for transaction to take place or agree with zoner if a quick sale is needed that I will keep advertising it or sell to someone else. BEFORE Writing silly posts.

First of all calm please.

Secondly, Colin can you please put your side of the debate in the open?

Thank you.

HartgeH27 I'm not sure why you are saying this when it is not what the OP has stated. Inventing this is really irresponsible, especially for a moderator.

Perhaps if you read the feedback thread I started, you'd see my point about my error with the PayPal address. I have never disputed it is my responsibility and have an email where I had apologised for the error.

If you also read the OP's response to the feedback I’d left on him, you'll see a spelling error made, which goes to illustrate how easy it is to make such errors. It happens.

My point about him being a timewaster relates to the email I have with him saying he had made the payment to me (following the payment made in error due to the wrong PayPal address) when he hadn’t and also the lack of evidence of the recipient not being prepared to refund the payment made in error.

I'm sure he'll get his money back. In the meantime, I don’t have any more effort to give this.

Why is this thread in Announcements, I don't believe I can post in that section so assume this has been promoted by a moderator HartgeH27 ?

Both parties have posted their side of the story and Colin has said above that he has apologised for the error.

jbrunouk I hope you get your money back from PayPal. If you would like to continue the conversation please use the PM system to contact each other.

I'm going to close this thread as I feel it has come to an end.
