there will be some old timers on here who remember it well,

some of those pics remind me of being a lil kid in nottingham walking down mansfield road & looking longingly in the windows of sytners bmw in the early 80's.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

showing your age there mart  8O

went to a local car show on sunday & most of the cars there took me back to being a lil kid in the 80's, mk1 escort mexico, mk2 fiesta's, vauxhall (saturday night) viva's etc.

two that really stood out were a B reg 316 which looked like it had just come from the dealership & a 1953 allard j2x open top 2 seater V8 (made a right racket as it pulled in) worth close to £350K++

as for learning to work on cars, well i grew up on a council estate so it kinds follows.

Never thought I'd hear myself saying this but yes I remember both the time and the place 8O

Mine was sold by Park Lane in '84, probably the closest dealer to the Kings Road and I bought it a few years later when I was still around that neck of the woods from time to time.

I couldn't afford a 325 at the time, still too new, but when I saw the 323 it ticked most boxes. I remember the E30 being one of the cars to have if you couldn't afford a Porsche and straight sixes were a step up from the GTis by sound alone.

My old stomping ground the Kings Road and Worlds End, the Bluebird was Campbell's old garage and I also shopped in the The Great Gear Market in the early 80's
