I have a 4 door Diamond Black 1990 E30 316i which I love
I have just been asked whether my old seats will fit into a 1992 E30 318i convertible... can anybody help please?

only the fronts, they fit in,, BUT ….. wont recline, so useless , dangerous & mot failure !

The seat bases are the same - your saloon seat contains the folding mechanism, although it will have never been used.
If the seats are both comfort or both sports seats, it's not a particularly difficult job to swap the saloon fabric or leather onto the cab. seat frame.
