Good Evening, The water pump on my 1985 318i has started spotting my driveway. The car came with a new water pump and a few other uninstalled spare parts, so this was not unexpected by the previous owner (I presume).
The PO did replace the radiator and all hoses with new OEM parts not long before I purchased the car, so I am surprised he didn’t replace the WP then.
I am hoping that some E30Zone members can offer me some tips on “while you’re in there” items I should check or replace, as I’d like to disassemble as little as possible as few times as possible.
I have the Bentley E30 service manual, but some part numbers such as those for the V-Belts are not mentioned in it. Would anyone recommend another manual I should own? I have a Haynes manual as well, but have not found it to be much use.
Suggestions? Thanks all as always. The amount of E30 knowledge and expertise on this site is unmatched; I appreciate you all.
