E36 Aircon Fan - Low Speed Resistor Location

Hi,

Should the low speed resistor be visible on an E36 aircon fan or is it built into the motor within the casing?

Everything I read says you should already have a resistor when using the E36 fan but I'm just worried I can't actually see it??

I checked RealOEM and for some reason the resistor is not shown on the 328i diagrams, but is on pretty much every other model (typical)

If the fan has 3 wires going into the motor then the resistor is built in, most E36 fans are like this
