Hello,
I am a new member and I am reaching out to inquire if anyone thinks there may be a market for replacement Husco Armrests for the BMW E30? Originally my company (Jones & Vining - Lewiston, Maine USA) molded these armrests for Dick Husta at Husco Engineering and when he retired in 2005, we purchased the program / tooling from him. We continue to make the original armrest in the original OEM tooling but have focused on the Mobile Professional market, i.e. police cars, emergency vehicles, etc. Recently, I have learned that these pads are in demand by BMW owners but I am not sure of the market potential or the best way to access the market. We sell the pads only (we do not have the brackets or the cupholders). We have the capability to make 1000's of these pads annually but would be looking for a partner to produce the mounting brackets and cupholders, market and distribute the product. Please let me know if anyone has any interest in continuing the conversation with me. Thank you, Dan Keeley

Dan, thanks for the post. I can’t speak for all our members but I believe there is a market here. When used versions come up they make strong money and always sell.

I'd buy two brand new ones for a start.

Does that help you ?

Thank you for your interest! We are a contract manufacturer so currently, we are not set up for private transactions. However, if we find there is interest here, we are not opposed to opening an online store to purchase the pads individually. I will discuss with the powers that be and let you know next week. Hopefully, we can generate enough interest here to have it make sense! I have a bit more info on the brackets / cupholders as well but not enough to fabricate them without reverse engineering. thanks, Dan
