Word of warning

I bought a pair of Vaico rocker shafts as suitable for an M20 325i head item number V20-0232 - They are incorrectly machined sending the eccentrics / rockers off center of the valve stems - I mean 3 mm off - bloody useless - so pay the right money for the real thing and save yourself a load of aggro and wasted time.

Photo's a bit crap but you get the idea - all 4 shafts are locked together by the locator from the head, so should line up - it looks like the machined locator grooves for the rocker holders are simply in the wrong place pushing all the rockers off center. whilst the oil bores look correct.

We all screw up when we machine things, is human nature but to just let them go ................

Well, I wrote them, but I doubt they will be bothered as it's a small market item, I expect the usual wall of silence.

..... and then, when your real BMW rocker shafts arrive, you discover the end caps aren't included and you have to order them as an extra item.

...and before you ask, the M12 caps on the Viaco ones have a different thread pitch - so I can't even use the junked shafts for anything -

The very old ones are knackered - someone actually made holes through the end caps in an attempt to drive them out, or in perhaps - anyway they are a right write off - so useless - basically I have a lot of expensive scrap on my hands!
