So I have a manifold with this number: 11621716443
I have a gasket from BMW with this number: 18111728364

The new gasket doesn't fit ....WTF?

Granted I can't read the very last digit on my manifold - its rusted away somewhat and is illegible.

so it's not use-able, and I've no idea what to look for - maybe I have a manifold off a different model, and a down pipe ??

Any Ideas how to proceed??

thanks

Paul :-)

Give Cotswold a ring, they are very helpful.

Encountered the same problem (some time ago) but didnt bother much.
I just cut the outer side of each bolt hole and installed it.
No noticeable leaks.

Yep, you could do that, but I reckon you'll get about 15% gas flow reduction as the gasket is too small for the pipe orifices. Also the gasket is
exposed to exhaust gas directly to the metal seal rings which will fail pretty quickly.

Thanks to Jon at Cotswolds, I now have the right component - no way of matching this to my car through Real OEM, so now it must be renamed Unreal OEM instead!

I have two 1 7 23 364 gaskets for anyone who can use them for the price of a stamp!

Paul I would happily take one of those of your hands or would even appreciate the correct part no.
