e38 engine into e30

i have just got an e38 compleate engine for my 30 come to the wiring and its different as in there is no round plug so dont no hot to wire the c101 plug to it can any one help cheers

don,t use the e38 alternator as they have an extra wire that the e36 loom doesn't have,
i used m50 alternator

You don't say which of the many E38 engines you're using, but assuming it's a M52, this should still help:
https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/index.p ... =M5x_Looms Relevant wires should be largely the same colours, and don't forget that only the battery connections, ignition live, starter signal and fuel pump feed out to the pump are needed to make the engine start and run.
