How's it going? Facebook is mostly to blame I think but it's busier than it has been of late. Same folks still here.

This place was so vibrant at one time - could spend all night just on here having a laugh and learning about these great cars.
Sad when good things change.

Agreed, the Zone used to be a great source of entertainment and the topic feed on the homepage ticked over fast. You could spend hours on here immersed in new things whenever you logged on.baur320 wrote:This place was so vibrant at one time - could spend all night just on here having a laugh and learning about these great cars.Tedswagon wrote:How's it going? The number of ”˜old school’ zoners is pretty low. I still see several of the old guys off here in person, but they mainly use the Facebook page now.

Not me, though my business has to have a Facebook page, all be it run by my son, I still don't 'get' Facebook.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

I echo all the above. I remember pages & pages of 'unread' Parts For Sale ads to look through everyday in my Zone addiction of 2012-15.
Is this perhaps due to all the rotten £500 E30's having been bought-up, dismantled & sold off by the breakers on here & the bay meaning that (a) young lads can't get on the E30 'ladder' anymore with a <£1000 dooer-upper as the starting price now seems to be over 4K for anything driveable - inadvertedly killing the market and (b) those of us lucky enough to own one of these chariots have tarted ours up to the hilt now as they sit pretty in the garage. To think i picked up my cab for only £1600 back in 2012 that at the time, felt like reasonable money to spend on an E30.

Hope this page goes back to its glory days as everyone slowly is getting enough of Facebook and hopefully they will come back here.
I'm so fed up with know it alls on there, someone knows something because he was told so by his mate or something and when you question it the insults begin, I just can't be asked to argue with stupid anymore, if I was moderator of that page half of them 'bruvs' would be banned

FB is fine for err not to sure to be honest, but its the specialist forums where you can dig out the real info you require or if its not there then you can bet that someone will pop up with a solution to an odd problem that you have.

BEERBOY still drops in now and then, just to add a touch of class.

I have just logged in after a long hiatus, good to see some of the old mob here still!

Finally promoted to Regular! Only took 7 years...
I agree with the observations made here too. I was addicted here 2007-2010 but then sold my e30 and moved onto other things. Still in a BMW mind. Just much newer.
Seems to me that even the poverty spec models are going up in price and getting some love these days. Used to be you’d get flamed more often than not for knowingly buying a 4-pot. Nowadays I don’t see the same views when I dip back in here.
On that note. Do they still do zone stickers and could I get away with a small one on an F31? Just to show my continued enjoyment of this place.
