Cheers guy i didn't realise there are numbers located on the diagnostic plug i only see these as i took a pic on my phone as i was going to get you guys to tell me which ones zoomed in and hey presto i could see the ones i wanted .
next the car began to turn over which tells me that the starter is ok and operational but odd occasion i get a clicking and the car wont even get too the turn over just like if the auto lever is in drive d and trying to start could the issue now be the inhibitor switch located besides the auto lever ?

Quite possibly, but could also be a dodgy engine-to-body earth strap/ignition switch/starter solenoid or starter motor itself, so carefully check all the wiring and terminals in between these parts.
A failing battery can also cause the 'clicking' issue, if it fails to deliver enough power to the starter circuit.

I did mine years back I "think" it's the black yellow wires behind the glovebox but you need to check the WiKi or wait for Brian to return, check the engine and gearbox mounts as it can put things out of alignment.j4gz wrote:Do you have details on how to do this and what implications will it have ?Satan wrote:You can also bypass the inhibiter switch if you need to.

Bridge pins 11 & 14 with a length of wire. Ensure the car is in neutral first!

Yes, it should just spin the starter over. Indeed, with an auto box, you'll probably need to have it in park.
