It was great to see Ari Vatanen wragging an E30 around a farm in his native Finland, with Idris Elba on board, on the TV last night
Schadenfreude - the German's haven't got a word for that.

One of my fave Ari moments is this from the 1983 Manx rally in an Opel Manta. Watch the whole thing, but at 2m10 sec in he clips a wall that sends the Manta sideways in the wet, just as a narrow stone wall cattle grid is 100 yards down the road.
The reaction of his co-driver being scared shitless is a rally classic. Harryman stalls on the pace notes for a second with Ari then telling him to get on with it. They both gather it back up, and just look at the speed a proper rally driver can do with a punctured tyre. It's depressing to think he can probably out drive me with one flat tyre....
