I am in the progress off finishing my e30 320i cab and which has been parked for a while and started it yesterday and their is water leak from under the manifol!! I couldnt find anything on it on the net so im wondering if anyone else has had this issue previously!!
Its an 1987 i found that on youtube just searching i will get better pics when i take the manifold off tomorrow myself. It on the engine block itself..
The area shown is the crank breather tube that goes from the crank case to the inlet manifold. It's not unusual to have a bit of oil weeping from this seal but there shouldn't be any water going through it. Assuming you've mistaken oil for water then fit a new rubber O ring. All will become clear when you remove the pipe!
100% sure its water the i put like 10 litres plus in it but will update you guys tomorow unless its a different pipe leaking and looks like its coming from there but thanks guys!!
Is the water being sucked into the throttle body from the more than useless TB heater block, ( rotted out ) then out of the manifold via the crank case breather tube - I'd expect the oil to show signs of water content though.
