I'm searching for the wires that are connected to those two buttons inside the car next to the light switch. I'm pretty sure one of these buttons goes to the front fog lights which are non existent on my car.

I believe the previous owner might have cut off the fog light cable somewhere under the hood. It's a little bit of a mess which I would appreciate some help with. :)

I have no clue what you mean. Are you talking about the turning signal for the left front fender, or some resistor on the inner wing?

I'd be happy with an explanation of what you mean by "resitor on the inner wing". :)

This is the two fog light buttons I was talking about. Those are the wires going from the fog light button switch or whatever it's called. However I guess the wire colors can change on the way to the hood...

Whats the dim light? The fog light button switches on the rear and front fogs on/off.

Have you tried using a circuit tester or bulb to see if this cable becomes live if the fog light switch is on? You would need to turn on the dipped beam headlights to get the foglamp live.

This is what I'd do as a last resort if I can't identify the cables.

Is the dipped beam headlights the same as the low beam? And am I not able to run with only the fog lights on and the low/high beam off (similar to how the parking lights work, there is no way to shut off the parking lights if the low beam is on)?

Dipped beam = low beam

That's right, for the fog lights to work the dipped/low beam must be on. And you cannot turn off the parking lights with the headlights on, or you would have no rear lights

Ok, now I know that. :)

Then the question is; What's the most hassle free way of installing aftermarket angel eyes which I can turn on/off easily from the driver's seat with the press of a button?

A live wire from the fuse box (or a live wire from the battery with its own fuse along the way) -> a button inside the car -> angel eyes?

Great! Then I can try to get my hands on a couple front fogs too.

This just got me thinking. Why is there a button for the front fogs if I can't turn them on/off while the low beams are on?

You can turn them on or off while the low beams are on, what you cannot do is turn them on unless the low beams are on.

You would have to replace the headlights to get angel eyes.

Alright, I want to be able to run with the angel eyes on even if the low beams are off. So would you advice me to do do this in any other way than I mentioned; A live wire from the fuse box (or a live wire from the battery with its own fuse along the way) -> a button inside the car -> angel eyes?

I do not know how the angel eyes are constructed but if they take the place of the parking lights, all you would need to do is to plug in the new headlamps, then the lamp switch in its first position, which switches on the parking lights, would switch on the angel eyes.

This is exactly how I have them connected right now, but as soon as I start the car there's no way of shutting off the angel eyes unless I shut off ALL lights on the entire car. That's the issue.

When I connected the angel eyes I was "stupid" and tested everything with the car shut off, and it worked amazingly. Reality hit me in the face when I started the car, so it's pretty fucked up how it works right now.

Then don't you just need to be able to put a switch into the connection between the parking lights and the angel eyes? I do not really understand what you are trying to achieve, if you want the effect of angel eyes, why do you want to be able to switch them off? Perhaps someone who has fitted angel eyes may be able to help you better, because I do not think I can.

I had some Depo's fitted, the side/parking lights are replace by the ring light around the central dipped beam, I just plugged it all in and it worked as normal - side lights on, lit up the rings, dipped beam added the center H1's - my fogs work from the switch on the dash when the dipped beam is on - but not with side/parking lights only.

And yes if you want to override the side light switch so the Angel eyes work as daylight running lights, then you need to add a (fused) feed directly to them - hard wired -

The Depo's look pretty naff as they had 4 leds rather than a proper led ring, so create 4 points of light rather than an "eye"

Mine are in the cupboard for MOT day, to replace my HID's when necessary.
