Can someone help me identify this part?

I just bought a job load of parts for my M52 conversion and the seller threw this in. Apparently it is a better alternative to the clio servo mod.

Does anyone have any information on what car this is from and point me in the right direction to do some research on it?

I can't see a part number on the master cylinder.

Any info would be appreciated.

The silver part stamped ATE is a hydraulic /Power Brake Booster. It looks similar to part number 34331156925 that was used on quite a few BMWs, have a couple of links:

So the big outlet must be the vaccum and connect to the inlet manifold I'm guessing? The other one just looks like a bleed nipple.

I think it uses pressure from the power steering and not the manifold.

Have a read of this, its actual going from what you have to a servo but has lots of info.
Keep us up to date if you do discover anything as I don't think I have seen or heard of it in an E30.

Does anyone know what the brake feel provided by these "hydro-boost" systems is like?

How does it compare to a normal E30 brake booster?

Thanks for the info. It looks like quite a complicated set up! I think I will stick to the clio servo so if any of you guys are interested in taking these bits off my hands, drop me a message. I seem to have all the components shown in that diagram but will check today.
