on our 1991 e30 convertible the lower frame where the bottom of the hood wraps around has snapped , it has been repaired badly sometime in the past and I am not sure if they reconnected the hood drive arms to the frame correctly , is there anyone near south east wales who could help us .

- if its been badly repaired/bodged in the past you may have issues with fitment of new parts on the existing frame (it maybe bent)
hope you get it sorted mate

Fitting a roof is really easy, but if it’s not straight, it'll need professional adjustment. The key is the amount of shims which were on the car it came from being replicated on the receiving car.

when you look at the frame on realoem there is part no15 which is a hex bolt , next to it is the lower part of the frame which looks as if it has a hook at the front of it , ours has broken on the right hand side , to get that part you have to buy a complete frame very expensive but I have managed to get one so needs fitting properly , will have a look at cemoore , I have heard of cayman autos near London not sure if they can help
