Hi, my Alpina 2.5 engages gear perfectly with no clutch slip whatsoever, but while in gear and driving has just started slipping for no reason
As mentioned, I can change gear and the clutch engages perfectly and only slips while I'm putting my foot down
Any idea what it could be???
Thanks in advance for any help

Clutch worn, whats the mileage and when was it last replaced?

I think the usual test is to pull the handbrake up put car in gear and try to pull away.

As above mate.
Drive to 30 mph and put your foot down when in top gear and if the clutch is worn the clucth will slip.
Some say that if you replace the whole of the clutch, then the slave and master cylindres are worth doing at the same time.

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Any oil leaks? I had sump gasket leaking into the bell housing and contaminated the clutch.
