I'm in the process of cutting and polishing my old, horribly pitted, original "Bulls Eye" Bosch headlamps - with a view to rebuilding them and removing my less than original Depo's which have been great for the last couple of years by the way.

I've now polished both units and despite them carrying identical production numbers, one of them is clear and the other has a really slight green cast.

It's no big deal, but I wondered if there is supposed to be a difference in the lens' - this is the left lamp which is greenish,
probably just manufacturing tolerance and ageing - god knows if they are the same age as my car was made of a million bits of junk.

Hi Paul , knock up a make-shift headlight so you can see the difference between the both as what an optician would do, like does this lens make a difference to the other one and see if you notice anything.
Just a thought.

Ordinary glass is green in colour, but shouldn't be noticeable in the thickness of a headlamp lens. Sure it's not a green slime coating the inside of the lens or the reflector?

No, the lens' are separated and re polished, reflectors perfect, just looks like a slight difference in glass type or age, as I say, it's not a problem, I'm just curious.
