One of my mates had this, and it turned out his gearbox was knackered.

i had this happen to me when i was picking up some kit from A1BMW325iSport's house.. bet you cant forget that one matt lol
was a new gearbox job in the end..
think i got a good deal though i got a box for Ԛ£50 and fitted for Ԛ£80
