Maybe that "free" convertible should be put on eBay and after Iain's costs the rest of the cash could go to helping the zone fund pot.

Although the car was free, Iain paid the guy for the convertible. I contacted Iain as I knew he would be sympathetic to the situation as the poor guy was losing his E30, But great fundraising idea.

Good time of year to buy a convertible, cheap in the snow. Lol
Hope it's not a rust bucket and can be saved.

Just to clarify, the car was not free, it was paid for, plus recovery costs. The owner contacted me and said the council were going to remove it unless it was gone very soon.Sanchez wrote:Maybe that "free" convertible should be put on eBay and after Iain's costs the rest of the cash could go to helping the zone fund pot.
The engine is blown and is in bits, the hardtop is nearly beyond repair and it has been stood for around three years in the open.
It will need to be assessed when it shortly arrives.
My pc was down when the advert was placed, the advert was there for all to see.
After the seller rang me, we agreed a deal, I posted up on the thread deal done and then locked the thread.
Nothing underhand and I reiterate, the advert/thread was there for all to see.
Hope that clarifies things.

the way i see it is first come first served, no favourites in the selling game.HartgeH27 wrote:Just to clarify, the car was not free, it was paid for, plus recovery costs.
