Forgive me if this has been done to death in the past, I couldn't find anything from years past.

I know 17x7's fit on a non-M E30 - what about 17x8's? Running 235/40 rubber

More of a speculation than anything serious

John used to run 8x17 et throwing stars on his car but it did have M3 5 lug set up. Tyres were 215/40

i know this because i bought the wheels !

i think nearer et24 will work and be safer

Compomotive recommend et15 but that seems to be only for M cars...am running 5x120 M3 stuff so it might work...

215 isn't a lot of tyre though
