Anyone know a good source for seat gas struts? Had a bit of a search can't find much.
Some listed on eBay US Says they are 'Made in England' if so does anyone know where?

Seems stupid to send them over there and ship them back. Asked the seller but he hasn't got back to me[/i]

Plenty of suppliers (and repairers) of gas struts in the UK. You can possibly have yours regassed, or measure the dimensions and end connectors of it, and select a new one that is a close match.
The strength of the strut is measured in Nm, and should be written on the old strut.
Google is your friend. There was also a thread on here a while back, discussing options for the 'horse shoe' struts on E30 cabs.( similar dimensions, but half as strong), which had a link to a supplier.
Careful use of the zone 'search' function might find it.

+1 for SGS, very competent and quick, re gassing is cheapest if the overall condition is OK.

+2 for SGS. Had my horse shoe struts regassed by them, reasonable price & done in good time. Suggest you give them a call & discuss.

I did have an email back from SGS technical saying they could not help me.
I will try them again, maybe they misunderstood what I needed.

That price is for 6 which to be honest isn't that bad, if you have the part number of your old shock then that will help SGS find something, maybe.

Looks like he does 4 for $80, its the postage thats a killer and the tax if he doesn't mark the parcel down in value.
