My Insurance is with AXA, I just received a note from my broker to say that as my car is under SORN ( for the winter ) I would not be offered a renewal until this position was rectified - ie they will not insure a vehicle under a SORN notice after 1st March 2018.

Anyone else had this, is it a new general thing or just my Insurers?

I had read that there were moves afoot to force people to insure off road/stored cars - but with my mob this would be impossible.

yeah I know - bit tricky: UK car in Germany for another year - not many insurers offer this Europe wide deal - anyhoo, written to them to explain themselves -
