Hello everyone, iv striped the interior out of my car, leaving only the dash. What's the best way to install a new carpet without taking the dash or heater matrix out, with minimal cutting. Is there a special nack to this? Should I just do one slit from the front centre and just try to tuck it under the heater matrix? All help appreciated.

You'll need a 2" cut directly above the steering column, to avoid having to take that out, but apart from that it's all easy, except for the bit that goes under the heater box. It is possible to slide it in, with difficulty, in most cases, but, if it does prove impossible, I'd make a 'T' shaped cut, from the front edge of the carpet, central to the heater box to the rear edge of it.
If you've removed the door sill cap trim pieces correctly, the white clips will still be located in the holes that they snap into. These need to be removed and refitted into the trim, so that they can be refitted, after the carpet is back, by simply pushing them own into place.
