More issues, sorry.
Happened once about 7 weeks ago and since yesterday now blows moments after you replace it.
The engine obviously just dies.
I've tried a few searches and will continue to research in greater detail, but any points in the right direction would be a great help. I haven't tried any electrical tests on the fuel pump yet.
I've blown 2 rear near side lights bulbs in the last 2 weeks too. Just to try and list anything that may be relevant.
Cheers

I assume you mean the fuse blows moments after you try to start the engine, after replacing it?
What rating of fuse do you have fitted, does the car actually start, and about how long is 'moments'?

Yes, after starting/driving. It starts fine. Occasionally it takes about 5 seconds to start, maybe 1 out of 7 start ups and has always been like this.
Moments have ranged from 10 seconds to a few minutes, but this evening, I've made 3 journeys of 10 mins each and the fuse is still intact. I had to make some necessary local journeys on quite roads so risked it. Admittedly this isn't a 'moments' worth if driving but this was after my initial post.
7.5 is the fuse that was fitted before the problems started and is what I have been replacing it with. Brown jobby.

Probably a failing fuel pump, jamming up occasionally, and popping the fuse with the increased 'locked rotor' current. Replace with a 15A fuse until this is sorted out - the locked rotor current won't be enough to blow this, and, since the engine will stop shortly afterwards, cutting off the power to the pump, no damage to the wiring will occur.
Remove the cover over the fuel pump, and carry something to hit it with (such as the handle of a hammer or long 1/2" socket set extension bar) in case it starts quitting on you on the move.

Neither. E30 headlamps use H1, with H3 in the fog lights.arrisbmw wrote:
