I'm looking some info on removing the headlining.
My headlining is in perfect condition but I'm looking to take it out or somewhat out of the way to do rust inspection and wax oiling.
I have read that the front and rear screens have to come out as well as the rear pop out windows.
Is this true? Has any one any helpful tips?

Edge of headlining is tucked under all of these, so all have to come out on a saloon. None have to come out on a touring.
Front and rear screens are easy to remove and replace, but be VERY careful when removing or connecting the electrical plugs to the rear screen. They are easy to break away from the glass.
On a touring with a sunroof, there are two screws which have to be removed that are hidden under the hinge for the 'gurney flap' at the front of the sunroof. I can't remember if this also applies to saloons.

On my saloon i found that just removing the black sun-visor panel, the grab-handles and pulling the headliner away from door and side-window apertures left me with enough space to look for rust.

If you have the black moulding across the front, that covers the sunroof mechanism on some models, the front screen doesn't need to be removed.biffer wrote:On my saloon i found that just removing the black sun-visor panel, the grab-handles and pulling the headliner away from door and side-window apertures left me with enough space to look for rust.
