With that part number I'm getting something different to what I've taken off the car. Any reason for this?
The studs I took out have 12 threads then rounded middle section then another 12 threads.

One part threads into the cylinder head and the other half is for the manifold and nuts to be fixed. With some engines they can even be different threads. It may be to stop bottoming out.

Sorry should have been clearer. When I search the part number it shows studs with thread covering it all without a middle circled bit or with just a few threads on one side and a lot of the other. Whereas my current are equal. Would it make a difference?

The pic. is just a generic stud. Doesn't necessarily look anything like the actual part.
