From the Zone Wiki, The Special Equipment sideskirts were fitted as standard to Touring and Cabriolet models, and were also found on all SE models of the 320i and 325i.
Well I have a facelift Cabriolet with no skirts and also a facelift 325i SE 4 door without them either?
What gives?
SE Side Skirts, a myth?

I had an early facelift 87 325i SE this also did not have side skirts. Both my Tourings did 89 & 91.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

My 1987 Chromey 320iSE and 1988 facelift 325iSE (both 2-doors) didn't have them, although the 325iSE had almost everything else.

I had an early '89 318i touring with side skirts but my '93 LUX touring doesn't have them (and never did according to the spec sheet) - I think when buying new, the buyer could basically spec what they wanted and didn't want if they were willing to pay.
My LUX touring was sold with an Mtech 2 steering wheel from new (but no other Mtech bits) and also a map light mirror, although the mirror has been replaced with a standard one at some point over the years
