Im just about to change the Alternator, belt along with new battery and service.
The reason why i am doing this is that all of a sudden the battery would start dying, Im not sure when it started but I feel it was this time last year. It got worse and worse and had to keep battery starting the car. I installed one of them led usb things that show the voltage of the battery. Is it possibly this that has been causing the drain. As everything else is more or less standard?
Cheers!
Going to fit new alternator ....but befor

Might be best to take fuses out 1 by 1 and check voltage to see if anything is draining unusual power.

Recently went through a similar scenario...
Last winter car would not cold start and seemed to have a slow battery drain, if I did not drive the car at least once a day I would need to battery start it. Couldn't find the issue...
2 weeks ago the car died on me and I was told the alternator and battery would need to be changed

Now the car starts on the button even in the cold and there is no battery drain...
The voltage regulator has 2 brushes, one was worn down to about 10% and the other down to about 20%... looked like the original and I have 125k on the clock...
