Hi 1.6 m40 engine , i am in the process of cleaning my injectors.
when i looked at the electrical connector that come from the fuel rail , it only has 3 pins , so just wondering how does that work.
I,m guessing 1 earth and 1 pin must fire 2 injectors simultaneously
the other pin fires the other 2 injectors . I was expecting to see wires to fire the injectors independently ? forcing petrol in on the compression stroke only ?
could any one explain this . please any info appreciated

Fire two at a time under light load, and all four together under heavy load.

The recommendation is not to buy one. It's a job best left to the professionals, such as 'injectortune' (see traders' forum), who have the equipment to clean and balance them properly.
