I cant really tell if it is a wheel bearing or the diff making the drone.

Its only just started to make the noise after getting the car back from the pound. It can be heard above 25-30Mph driving in a straight line and when turning right it gets louder, turn left and it quitens down.

It dose sound like the drone from the axle on an old Leyland FG (Sunblest Bread Vans), but not as loud.

Any ideas as to what it could be or any ways of checking?

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me, get the relevant side jacked up, and give the wheels the usual check.

I'd say wheelbearing M8

repeat the driving in circles with the seat squab out, someone sitting in the back is a good plan too. then jack the rears both up and spin them by hand, replace the one that feels "rough" when rotated

UPDATE:

I have just finished looking for the drone, and i think i have found it.

The NSF wheel/bearing makes a "Clicking" sound as it is spun around, either direction, it clicks about 5-6 times per revolution. I can just spin it fast enough to make a rumbling sound. Is this a sign that the wheel bearing is on its way out ?
