Hello there,

When running my car on track, I've noticed strange tyre wear. They wear out on the outside? .. They also seem to get pretty hot on the outside due to the recoulered surface. Trying to figure out what may cause this. Now the car drives great, no excessive understear or oversteer.

Tyres are Federal 595 RS-R's 195/50-15 Semi slicks
Cold tyre pressure is about 1,8 - 2,0 bar
Toe = 0mm
Camber = -3°
Caster =about 9°
Front ARB is medium stiffness setup (H&R)

Rear is non adjustable, same problem at the rear. I guess something with the weight transfer putting force on the outside of the tyres during tracktime? Never seen it like this before. Someone? thx

You're cornering on the outer edge - looks like they're getting too hot as well. To have the front tyre tread flat on the road with a decent tyre, you need 4 degrees or more of neg camber with stiff springs. If you can't dial in more camber, all you can do is increase pressures to try and stop the tyre rolling onto the sidewall.

Oke thank you for your response. Next time I'll give it a try with more tyrepressure. What tyrepressure do you guys start with ? Anybody info on what should be ideal tyre temperatures??
