Hey all, I made an inquiry with a local(ish) BMW parts distributor about a price for a Z3 shifter , this was his/her reply..
Manual shift lever - Currrently only have BMW sports short shift (E60 type) they are very similar to Z3 but seem to be preferred by the guys doing manual conversions,
From what I have been told the E60 short shift is less "notchy" and less effort to select gears than the Z3 one, -better suited to road applications whereas the Z3 shifter is more suited to track/race use.
Anybody heard anything similar? Or had any comments to add about this? The price was pretty reasonable but if it wont fit in an E30 then its doesnt matter how much it is.
