Should have central locking, unless the original purchaser ordered it without.
Remove the driver's footwell loudspeaker, a little black plastic cover underneath it, two self tapping screws directly below the speaker hole, and pull out the locking ECU with its triangular metal mounting plate and wiring all connected.
Check with a small 12V lamp (10W or 21W), that there is 12V+ on the red/black wire. Then post here again.

would a D reg 325ise have similar wiring for locking etc as a later model... was playing in the local breakers the other day and they had a H plate in bits, looked like the elec.windows & locking was different to mine???

my windows work, kind of, and no central locking...

Less than six weeks ago, I fitted a door from an early '88 car, which had the old type manual windows, to a late '88 E30 which had the later type electric windows.
Although it was only a few weeks ago, apart from I know I had to change the glass over, I can't remember a thing about doing the job, except that there wasn't any serious problems.
Lock barrel was changed over as well, and as far as I remember, the central locking stuff is all the same.

Eh? This aimed at me?
My problem was a large dent in the side of the door, so yes, fitting a straight one fixed the problem.
