Hi,
i am considering doing e36 2.8 24 valve conversion in my e30 coupe, i've been offered an N reg 2.8 auto, i picked up a e46 330 manual gearbox and fly wheel a couple of years ago which has been sitting around. could i use this gerbox on the conversion.

Hi,
I was at a BMW mechanic the other day and they had an M50 e30 with the 6 speed E46 330i gearbox in there, so yes it can be done.
They were very secretive about the parts used as they wanted me to get them to convert it for many $$ so I cannot tell you any parts they used except that it was a 330i 6 speed

A five speed 330 manual box will fit it's the same as a 36 one

Its not the same but it will bolt up and use the same clutch/slave/prop/linkage etc etc
