wont start after stalling

Morning folks . M20 started fine but I stalled it after about 30 seconds then took a life time to start. Often struggles to start if I leave it for 10 mins if I pop in a shop say. I'm thinking blue temp sensor.. Do you think I'm on the right track of barking up the wrong tree .cheers guys .[/code]

Yes, testing the blue sensor at the ECU socket is a good starting point to check.

This is a post facelift car, so will have the notorious plug and socket under the inlet manifold that the blue temp. sensor signal passes through. If the sensor fails the resistance tests AT THE ECU SOCKET, then the problem is far more likely to be with the plug and socket mentioned above than with the sensor itself

+1 for this : Same problem, same symptoms - Fixed mine by removing the multiway connector under the inlet manifold; draining the murky water that had collected; cutting out the wires and resoldering them.
