Standard (brand new) mounts, standard exhaust manifold, and standard steering linkage with guibo works perfectly for my M20, I'm happy to say!
I did have photos, until... photobucket...

Standard steering linkage dosnt work
You need a hybrid e36 with e30 steering linkage
Also you need e46 inner tie rods and e36 outer tie rods
Mounts and exhaust its not a problem

I can't embed the image, but there's the 067 rack, with the standard linkage, with the guibo, clearing the standard manifold on an engine on standard mounts. (Obvs. not in the final state of fitment there with those bolts!)

When I tried the E30 linkage complete with guibo, the splined shaft poked through the linkage enough to contact the UJ while turning, which is far from ideal and one reason a shorter linkage should be used.TriggerFish wrote:http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu32 ... 212351.jpg

Any chance you could put it on a differnt hosting site, as I think a lot of people here would like to see it.
Thanks
Ben

And the splined shaft does indeed look close to the UJ.

Yeah, it is close, but I've checked, and it doesn't contact at all, so I'm happy with it. If there were any contact, I'd have reconsidered my linkage choice. I wonder if mine upper joint was closer to the bulkhead than yours, giving a little more clearance?
