Problems with Bavarian Retro Cars

I know that this company has been discussed before but I am posting this as a warning to others following my recent experience with Bavarian Retro Cars.

I had an issue with an electric convertible hood motor and contacted Boyd Beatie who answered my messages proptly and offered to take a look at the unit. I sent the motor to him and after a few weeks he called me to say there was nothing wrong with the motor and would return it. (I of course said I would pay the return postage and actually wanted to give him something for his time checking the unit).

This started in June and we are now towards the end of August and still my part has not arrived back. My communications by various different means including e-mail and phone etc. have been ignored until I stated that I would detail my experience on the net! However, despite his claims that the unit has been posted, it is still not here. He said he would provide the tracking number but has not”¦

I post this as a warning for others before they consider using this company. Be very careful!

As an update and to ensure that I am fair, I am pleased to say that Boyd has now posted back my motor since my above post for which I am grateful. Hopefully I can not get the issue with the roof finally fixed and maybe even enjoy a roof down drive this summer before winter is here!

Don't let me even start - he ruined my car and I'm now counting the costs- he's awful- people in USA are looking for him- scammed loads out of money - stay well clear. If he's any sort of person he would be here to defend his name and honour- that won't happen- he's now moved on to scamming 7 series owners cos he's run out of luck with 6 series crew and the E30 crew

He's going to scam the wrong 7 series owner. Some Albanian mafia type is going to shoot him. Easties love a E38

He's banned from here so can't defend himself. He must be due to retire soon, in the meantime, and as ever, Buyer Beware across the board. Always check for feedback and talk to as many people as possible.
