I bought a Nano last week and thought of doing the same I do have a AUX out put on my head unit a Nakamichi cd400 I went into Halfords and they tried to sell me a kit for Ԛ£150 so I could use it but I would still only have control of the Ipod using the Ipod it's self not through the Head unit so I popped into Comet next door bought a decent lead for Ԛ£15 and hey presto the same sound and usability for one tenth of the price....

Good luck

if its a 3.5mm jack plug to 2 RCAs then Ԛ£15 is quite expensive LOL

Alpine do an interface for the ipod which allows you to control the ipod from the headunit don't whether it will work for the nano as its much smaller and the connections may be different.

There is a brand Denison (i think spelling?) which has kits worth looking into if you want proper interface!
