I've just a bit of bad luck,I knocked the rear view mirror off,I've stuck it back on but a couple off cracks have appeared,my question is can insurance companies supply a new screen or will they have to supply an OEM one.

it all depends on your cover,
expect to pay a "premium" though,
as for the screen type, depends on who the supplier is to the firm fitting it, but most times it's an after market one.
so i'd say your best bet is to speak to your insurance firm first to see what they say.

Check your wind screen cover on your policy you will usually have pay about £75 for the excess. My son had one down earlier in the year.

What did you stick it back with? Incorrect adhesive can often cause cracks, so it's possible that your insurance won't cover you if they found out the details.ah wrote:I've stuck it back on but a couple off cracks have appeared.
IIRC, back in the day, genuine BMW glass had a reputation for being soft, and easily marked by road dirt. Non OE was the preferred replacement.
