Sorry not updated for a while.

Firstly new number plate 8)

I have not done a great deal else to the car other than fresh oil and filter (again) finally fitted the bilstein front shocks and powerflex offset wishbone bushes.

For the last few months I have been getting a major itch for a track car. The e30 was never built as a track car and is far too good to abuse round a track. So I introduce the saviour of the e30... the new E36 328i sport

I have gone halfs with a friend on the e36 and is currently being built as a track car.

I did however decide that before i condemn the e30 to a life of sunday driving I wanted to do just 1 sprint track day in it, just to see what it's made of. So last Thursday i spent the day at Curborough.

The at performed faultlessly all day and even managed a very respectable time beating some of the track cars. With some proper wheel/tyres and brakes the car would of got some serious times. Can't wait to get the e36 out on the track now!

Here is a video for anyone interested...

Lovely car and a great sympathetic restso and modernisation to make it more useful! A credit to you!

It's a scorpion. I wanted a eisanmann exhaust but with my other builds taken into account... my pockets are not deep enough haha

My rear arches could do with some attention (ie. welding). Where did you get those wheelarch repair panels?

Strange.

14" wheels should give a better ride than 15".

They certainly improve it on my cabriolets.

Just came across this thread and thoroughly enjoyed slowly scrolling through for 30 mins.

What product did you use to underseal your car? Looks much better than the Waxoyl on the underside of mine.

The 15”a wheels allow for wider, lower profile, stickier tyres :D

Ah, OK, I would call that handling, not ride.

Cabriolets don't handle.

Just read this excellent thread.

Please let me know if/when you come to sell it; a genuine offer from a fellow enthusiast, as I’d like to get back into e30 ownership

Bought this yesterday from p_viddy! He's a real gentleman, when I turned up he handed me the keys and said help yourself, look around, drive it! So trusting! Anyway, as soon as I had a quick drive, after 10 secs, I knew she was coming home.
