pipe going no where ?

HI All first post on here. jus purchased a 316I auto.
giving iy a quick check over noticed a pipe black thin coming from the intake throttle body, goes same angle as the rubber intake (that cracks over time ) . looks like its got a longer rubber pipe missing . do any of you knownledgable people know where iits suppose to plug in. its taped at mo if i unblock it engine nerly dies.

It's the connection for closed circuit fuel tank breather system, which isn't fitted to most UK E30s. You'll find the other half tucked into the LH suspension turret reinforcement structure.
The pipe to the manifold must be blocked, the one in the turret must be open.

o.k thanks for speedy reply. the one thats open , ill hunt for it. what does that do.
