I replaced my clutch including pressure plate & bearing as the pedal was at the top when the clutch engaged & it felt as though there was some slip.
This did not improve with the new unit as the clutch still only engages with the pedal near the top position. I understand that the adjustment is hydraulic and that there is no mechanical adjustment on the pedal.
Can anyone please advise what the problem may be.
The vehicle is a 318i M10 1987 left hand drive.

Thanks

I have been told that this could be the slave OR master cylinder, whichever way it is, change both at the same time.

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Unlikely. If either is dying the affect is the opposite.
